Jump to time or a simple timeline scroll doesn work on .ts files

i downloaded some videos with a .ts extension

when i start to play them from the start, i dont get any issue, but lets say i want to quickly jump to minute 5, i do so with the Jump to time command or a simple scroll thru the time line bar and it just stops or take a long time to start playing it ( more than 10 seconds sometimes even if the file is 300mb
