VLC iOS samba/SMB for guest user must be in SMB1 to work
In order to access a samba share in guest mode (no authentication), the samba server must be in SMB1 protocole and VLC iOS force to prefer SMB1.
Samba configuration:
server min protocol = NT1VLC android does not have to be in SMB1 to work correctly.
As SMB1 is an insecure protocole, is there a way to make guest share (no authentication) work with at least SMB2 and VLC iOS ?
The problem is that to get VLC iOS working SMB1 is now open on the server for all the shares included others that I wanted to have authentication on it.
