VLC UWP prioritizes downloaded album art instead of ID3 embedded metadata

I have a lot of MP3s correctly tagged with their respective album art, but when they are added to VLC UWP they are replaced by last.fm (?) data and when there's no coincidence in the album name it's just left blank. It always ignores the album art inserted on the MP3 file.
