implicit declaration of function 'jpeg_mem_dest'

Getting above error running ./compile on v. 3.0.17.3, after successful configure. I read this - https://stackoverflow.com/a/11071931 - and so I compiled a new libjpeg with the flag indicated there, but no change.

Any help?
