UPNP: ogg music files served from DNLA source show up as Unknown type in Android App

Ogg format audio files browsed from a DNLA source show with a ? icon rather than the expected music icon.

Because of this unknown classification you do not get the possible action of adding to a playlist. Only play is available. If you do add to the playlist then the track name gets corrupted and shows as a number.dat where the number is a random integer.

Expected behavior

Music Icon shown, add to playlist option shown, plays without corrupting trackname.

Actual behavior

Music Icon not shown, Option to add to playlist missing, Play (plays OK) observe Trackname permanently corrupted in all views until app data/cache cleared.

note MP3 and WMA from same source do not show this behaviour

Steps to reproduce

  1. Android App ver 2. Android 12 phone.
  2. MiniDNLA or Gerbera local network source.
  3. Select OGG format file from Browsed DNLA source.
  4. Icon shown as ?
  5. Try to select add to playlist.
  6. Play and see track name corrupted.
