Surround Sound Breaking When Seeking with ChromeCast

I am streaming through Chromecast (using Playback -> Renderer -> Chromecast) which is connected via HDMI to my 7.1 surround sound speaker system. When streaming a dts 5.1(side) audio sample through the system, it renders properly in all channels.

HOWEVER, when I seek through the file WHILE STILL CONNECTED TO THE CHROMECAST, the surround sound breaks and all speakers output stereo sound.

If I am disconnected from the Chromecast, seek through the file, and THEN RECONNECT, it renders properly in all channels.

Also, opening a file WHILE CONNECTED TO THE CHROMECAST but NOT SEEKING THROUGH IT causes it to render properly in all channels.

Thanks for your help.

This was tested in VLC 3.0.16 and 3.0.11 on Windows 10 with a Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 3060 Ti. I also tested a dts 7.1 audio sample and the issue presented itself there as well.
