Subtitle issues with *.ts file formats
Hi, I recently tried to play a .ts video file with subtitle of same name in same folder, but VLC wouldn't play the file. I thought something is wrong with the video and deleted both the video and subtitle files.
However, I luckily had another backup on a different hard drive, which I copied across before I downloaded the subtitles, so only the .ts file was in that folder. When I play that file, it works fine without any issues.
I did a bit of further testing, and copied that .ts file across my PC again. I re-downloaded the subtitles, and again, the vlc would stop playing the video all together.
I then renamed the subtitles to a different name than the video file, played the .ts video, and it worked fine. Then I tried manually importing the subtitles while the video was playing, and it would stop playing the video again.
I have Windows 7.
I am happy to upload the .ts and subtitle files to a website if anybody wants to test it, but I am not sure if the issue is with just that video/subtitle file, or any .ts format. Thanks.
Regards.
