Disable Screensaver setting stops working

It seems that in certain cases, "Disable Screensaver" setting is being disabled itself.

Specifically, i've noticed that if "Disable Screensaver" setting is checked, when doubleclicking on a video, VideoLan opens, starts playing it and the screensaver is indeed disabled. If i doubleclick on a video without closing VideoLan, the new video starts playing but if i don't move the mouse or touch the keyboard, after the screensaver timeout passes, the screen turns off (but the video keeps playing). I have to move the mouse or press a key for the screen to turn back on again.
