libvlc4: Availability of vlc options dec-dev and codec as media-specific options?

It doesn't seem possible to use these options at a media item level on the command line (i.e. as options prefixed with a colon?) They seem to just get ignored; they only work as global options.

This question is not so important for using the standalone player app, but it is more of an issue with a custom app that uses libvlc, especially if it's playing a number of media streams of different types concurrently in different windows. We have a specific reason why it would be desirable to be able to do this, which arose with exploring the nvdec module but the question is probably more general.
