OSD filename and progress is always visible while casting

Sometimes when rendering to my Chromecast device I cannot seem to disable the showing of media titles. I have been to Preferences > Subtitles / OSD and unchecked Show media title on video start. I have also tried unchecking Enable On Screen Display (OSD) but still VLC shows the name of the file being cast, an non moving progress-bar, seconds streamed and "LIVE -0:01".

Restarting VLC is the only workaround I know.
