Pause doesn't remain paused
OS edition: Windows 10 Home
OS version: 21H1
OS build: 19043.1288
OS experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0
Hardware: ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 (AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics 1.80 GHz),
USB Ultimate Ears BLAST audio
Logs: To generate these logs, I press Ctrl-M, set focus to vlc player, press space bar and then it toggled pause to play by itself. Here is the log (verbosity 2):
main debug: auto hiding mouse cursor
main debug: toggling resume
main debug: toggling resume
mmdevice debug: state changed: 0
Then it pauses, and then continues within a second with the following showing up in the log:
main debug: toggling pause
main debug: toggling pause
mmdevice debug: state changed: 1
main debug: auto hiding mouse cursor
Repo steps:
- Connect my BLAST speaker.
- Play a video.
- Pause video.
- VLC restarts video.
- Stop video.
- VLC restarts video.
- Close VLC.
- Open VLC with a video, problem persists.
- Open VLC without video. Nothing to play, so it doesn't do anything. As soon as I do play something, this will have the same issue.
- Disconnect BLAST speaker, no longer has any issues.
Reproducibility: Consistent. Though I've not rebooted my machine, so I don't know if this will keep occurring if I do so. Want to try and keep diagnosing while I can reproduce.
If applicable, the type: Seems to be across all video types that I've tried (mkv, mp4)
VLC version: 3.0.16 Vetinari
Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help diagnose this issue. Thanks.
