HDR causes black subtitles / menues on Blu Ray movies

I have a 4k HDR TV, when HDR is enabled and i try to watch a blu ray disc i get no menues since they are all black. If i play the movie anyway the subtitles are black with black border making them invisible on the black backdrop. When HDR is turned off the menues and subtitles work fine.
