problems with Ctrl + F, Ctrl + L shortcuts, Wacom tablet and menu items, playback shortcuts
Kubuntu 20.04, Wacom tablet, VLC media player 3.0.9.2 Vetinari (revision 3.0.9.2-0-gd4c1aefe) lgw01-amd64-060.buildd (Apr 9 2020 19:29:44)
-
Blank player opened, playback buttons & menu items work fine with Wacom, Crtl + L shortcut works & playlist opens, playback shortcuts work
-
Ctrl + F, folder opened, playback started, playback buttons & menu items STOP working with Wacom, Crtl + L shortcut still works & playlist opens, playback shortcuts work
-
folder playback finished, Ctrl + F again, folder opened, playback started, playback buttons & menu items still do not work with Wacom, BUT Ctrl + F & Ctrl + L do not work TOO & playlist not opened, playback shortcuts work
-
Ctrl + Tab or changing window and returning to player, Ctrl + F & Ctrl + L work, still no reaction to Wacom, playback shortcuts work
One more issue… I think it has same root as the problem above. I can't figure out exact steps to reproduce but it happens on regular basis.
For example, playlist is loaded with files. VLC plays files one by one and after "10th file" playback shortcuts like L, R, P, N, S, [, ], etc stop working. Space key works and I can stop/start playback. Problem can be solved by switching to any window and returning to VLC with Alt + Tab or mouse. After that all shortcuts work like they should.

Looks like on Kubuntu 21.04 Wacom works well with VLC 3.0.12 Vetinari. Hadn’t any issues with menu items so far.

But problem with shortcuts remains. For example, VLC plays videos from playlist. Suddenly L, R, P, N, S, [, ], etc stop working. Switching windows didn’t help. Problem disappeared when player switched to next video.
