Video position via Linux Command line

When i am trying to move vlc via command line with command --video-x=XX and Video-y=YY vlc is not at all moving. it seems vlc is not recognizing this command i tried many option which is listed in vlc --longhelp option but i could not succeed to move the screen via command. can anyone please check his issue because this is very important to us. moreover please provide solution for this
