vlc doesn't follow ifo for aspect ratio
I have a pressed DVD that is problematic, the IFO says the video should be displayed in 16x9, but the VOB shows 4x3 (16x9 is correct).

VLC plays it in 4x3 by default, while I can manually change it to 16x9, this doesn't seem to effect how vlc views it in other ways (screenshots seemed to still come out in 4x3 for instance). Kodi seems to play it in 16x9. Want to experiment with other players, including hardware players
I've seen different discussion online, but it seems that at least going back on doom9 forum, the consensus was that its supposed to follow IFO
