4K HDR playback looks dull in Windows 10

when playing 4K HDR 10bit in VLC compared to Windows Movies & TV app the picture looks greatly different from each other. VLC player picture looks dull while Movies & TV app picture looks much brighter and vivid. I suspect there's something about tonemapping. Why is there significant different? can VLC next update fix this issue? or how do I fix this issue?
