VLC appears to rename files after viewing over a network drive

VLC for the Amazon FireTV appears to rename files after viewing from their original name (i.e. Tron.mp4) to a seemingly random number (i.e. 27.mp4). This only occurs when viewing files over a network drive connected with upnp -- when viewing over a samba share, this does not occur. This does not actually rename any files (looking at the network drive from a different device or through smb confirms that Tron.mp4 still exists, and that 27.mp4 does not exist), however VLC will always see the renamed file when viewing over upnp.
