Video is cropped and stretched

I recorded a video with my Pixel 3 and wanted to play it back on my computer, however, VLC does a weird transformation with the video, crops the bottom and messes up the aspect ration, although all settings are set to standard. Here is a screenshot of the same video opened in two different programs:

I've reset all settings of VLC, made sure that zooming, cropping and aspect ratios are all set to standard, and even went into the effects settings, to make sure everything is set to standard values (0) there, which they are, so I assume this is a bug of VLC. It also seems that there is some processing going on, as the colors look different.
