Fullscreen/maximized on second monitor bug
Hello, I think i've found a bug that hasn't been reported before. I don't really know much about bug reporting, so, sorry for not knowing how to add any labels to this issue. Here's a list of specs of where i've found this bug: OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits VLC Version: 3.0.11 And here's the steps to reproduce:
- Connect a second monitor (or TV) to a computer or laptop.
- Open vlc on either the first or second monitor
- Maximize the window (see image named: maximized before fullscreen)
- play a movie and switch to fullscreen
- Exit fullscreen What happens next is seen on the second image called: maximized after fullscreen. As you can probably see the window is maximized, but not in the right screen size. The window is twice as small as my 1080p monitor. It also happend to every TV i plugged it into. The workaround is simply to click the restore icon and maximize it again. But something else strange occurs in the process. after you restore a window in windows 7 you should get the original state back in which it was before maximizing the window. Instead what happens is the window is the size of the screen resolution, overlapping the windows 7 taskbar. Well not exactly overlapping, but vlc's control buttons (play, pause, and so on) are behind the taskbar. After maximizing again it will behave like normal again. Atleast until you repeat the process, that is. I haven't updated to 3.0.12 yet, but as i said before this bug doesn't seem to be reported before, so i doubt that you've already fixed this bug.
