Bottom of video cut off with D3D9

With "non-standard" video size the bottom of the video picture is cut off. See attached samples, video created from testimg.png, xvid and x264 codecs used, 720x540 size is OK, the rest is cropped. Using latest 3.0.12 version, no problem with latest 2.x version. No cropping or any other option selected, all in default.

Screenshots: always 2, one native taken from Win (you can see the problem), second is an internal screenshot made in VLC (always OK).

Thanks for your detailed bug-report and for providing those sample files. All of them play and display correctly for me on macOS so I assume that this is a problem with the Windows video output module. /cc @robUx4

You are correct. I have tried it now in Win10 and it works correctly so it seems it's for whatever reasons a Windows 7 (latest version) problems. I will close this issue.

Maybe Direct3D11 vs Direct3D9.

You can test different output modules, in preferences.

Yes, that was it! Changed from auto to Direct3D11 (Direct3D9 was selected automatically) and now it works without problems. Thanks!

Exactly (well not fails but makes an error I described in this issue).

And you see the issue in 3.0.12 too?

I tested this issue only with 3.0.12. Both in WIN7 and WIN10, but didn't look what is automatically selected by WIN10. In WIN7 it's D3D9.
