Changing audio track no effect when rendering to chromecast

When casting a video file containing multiple audio track to a chromecast (the Ultra version in my case) if you change the audio track from the "Audio>Audio Track" menu the reproduction stops for a second, but then continues with the same audio track, ignoring the change.

Selecting a specific audio track from the beginning with the --audio-language renders the selected track correctly (but, again, it cannot be changed during playback).

I'm using VLC version 3.0.12 from the Packman repository for Opensuse tumbleweed. I cast a local file with the following command line:

vlc "file" --audio-language=ITA --sout "#chromecast" --sout-chromecast-ip=chromecast_ip --demux-filter=demux_chromecast
