gif not played properly

Tested as well with vlc_4.0.0-dev-14413-g197ac1d7_amd64.snap and same thing.

Can you clarify how you expect that these animated GIF images should be properly played by VLC? As video clips instead of still images?

If so, this would be a duplicate of #6697: VLC doesn't support such playback of any animated GIF.
