VLCsub Hangs and stop VLC player

i am using VLC(3.0.11) on windows 10.It has happened many times when using vlcsub that it hangs and whole vlc player stops working.

Though i have analyzed that this most happens when my internet conectivity is low/none instead of showing an error of no internet connection it hangs.
