Seamless Loop
I'm trying to find an easy method to seamlessly loop locel video. It looks like people gave up on the concept circa 2008, and just used the method of pasting the same video loop over and over in to one long video as a solution to get a seamless loop. Of course these days, a non-lossy HD video of any length is going to use up shovel loads of gigabytes. They didn't have that issue back then. (I'm just mentioning this, because one guy on the Adobe forums thought he could make it work with a non-lossy format, but ended up with a 68 GB video.)
Currently, online and offline Virtual Tabletop systems are migrating towards spectacular 'animated' tabletops by using video loops. Here's the problem: None of the standard software video players seem to support a seamless loop. Even if you figure out how to export the video without the phantom black frame at the end (use Handbrake to compile), the video players muck it up and introduce a pause in the player between loops.
A working solution is needed.
I'm currently working in Win7, but some people use Linux or Mac for this stuff, so a cross platform solution would be ideal. Of course, right now, any solution would be better than none.
Thanks for everything you do! I've been supporting VLC since about the day you started compiling it. :)
