VLC MAC v3.0.10 running on OS X 10.9.5 persistenly loses audio after video pause and locks up
Thank you for your hard work and fine program.
A repeatable and persistent playback issue has come up in VLC v3.0.10.
VLC v3.0.10 OS: MAC OS X 10.9.5 Machine: 13in MacBook Pro 9,2 (2013)
After pausing the video and restarting playback the audio is gone. No adjustments to the VLC controls or the OS audio controls brings the audio back. Video playback remains normal however.
The only solution is to quit VLC and restart. However, VLC will not quit through normal means and ignores normal quit options (Command key + Q, or selecting Quit from the File menu - neither work). The only way to quit VLC after an audio fail is to use the MAC Finder "Force Quit" option which reports VLC as "Not Responding".
After successfully quitting VLC simply restarting VLC does not resolve the issue as VLC will no longer load. The only way to get VLC to reload is a full system shutdown and restart.
Trashing the VLC preference file and cache files does not resolve the issue.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

NOTE: There is a bug with the trac.videolan.org/vlc login "forgot password" reset function:
I'm currently logged in under RuthyRuth (ruthyruth5@hotmail.com) because I'm unable to login with my normal VLC account (Archy88 archy.dolder@gmail.com). I believe that the trac recovery system is flawed and prevents recovery.
The system rejects my password associated with my user name Archy88. For a reset the system rejects my user name (Archy88) and email (archy.dolder@gmail.com) combination and thus refuses to send a password reset email.
But what if the problem is that I forgot my username, which is the only thing I can think of as causing the problem? However, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a reset with just the account email address (like every other reset feature I've encountered on the internet).
When I try to create a new account using my email address (archy.dolder@gmail.com) the system rejects the new account saying the email address is from an active account.
The only way to report today's bug was create a completely new account.
I would prefer to use my real name and email address, but I do not see how to resolve the problem given the overly restrictive recovery options.
Can you help me with this issue too please? Thank you, Archy Dolder
