VLC 3.0.11 misfunctions on MacOS 10.13

3.0.10 operated perfectly. Just loaded 3.0.11 and it would play an mp3 file easily until I stopped and tried to restart. Comdman-Q would not quit VLC. Only a Force Quit would quit VLC. Then reopened VLC 3.0.11 and encountered the same problem. Hence, I've reloaded 3.0.10.
