No Dolby D 5.1 sound at Sony Bravia with connected Maranz audio receiver

Hi, I use VLC on Sony Bravia TV with Android - I recently updated to the latest version of Android, so I already tested this bug on two different versions. The VLC player does not decode and play the AAC 5.1 audio when the TV is connected to external audio receiver Marantz MR1608. The VLC only donwmixes into stereo instead of passing through the full Dolby D 5.1. The built in Sony Video application sends the full 5.1 into the Marantz (connected via the ARC HDMI cable to the TV). The VLC feature "audio pass through" does not have any influence on anything. This is really a major downside of VLC, if the audio is not good (full 5.1 surround), I am forced to use the crappy Sony Video application, which is slow. Can you implement the feature to VLC so that the audio is passed into HDMI ARC in full 5.1?
