VLC 3.0.10 hangs my MacOS 10.13.6

Your WONDERFUL VLC has been my go-to for my dozens of music & video formats for many years.

However, this version hangs my Mac while playing EVERY SINGLE TIME, both audio & video. Spinning beachball.

I suspect it's a software conflict but Safe Boot, resetting the PRAM & SMC, clearing the caches, running OnyX, nothing works.

So I've temporarily given up on VLC--bummer! Waiting to see if the next version cures my Covid!
