HLS live freeze on update
Hi, I am a serious user of VLC, spending more than 12 hrs per day in watching online (stream) content. Was everything OK, till I upgraded to 3.0.10 version. With this, no matter where from the stream comes, it hangs the playback at exactly 19 seconds. If stream or entire app restarted, it works again for the same 19 seconds. Tested it from about 8...11 different locations, does the same, also made test for the same URLs from:
MPC-HC (64-bit)Build information: Version: 1.7.13 (e37826845) Compiler: MSVC v19.00.24215.01 Build date: Jul 16 2017 18:47:17 LAV Filters: LAV Splitter: 0.70.2.1 LAV Video: 0.70.2.1 LAV Audio: 0.70.2.1 FFmpeg compiler: MinGW-w64 GCC 7.1.0 Operating system: Name: Windows NT 6.1 (build 7601, Service Pack 1) Version: 6.1 (64-bit) Hardware: CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2310M CPU @ 2.10GHz GPU1: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 (driver version: 9.17.10.4229) GPU2: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 (driver version: 9.17.10.4229)
everything works correctly. So, I downgraded my VLC Player to v. 3.0.8 again and all streaming problem disappears.
NOW: for personal, and reporting reasons, I repeated one more time the upgrade to 3.0.10, same issue happening. then back to 3.0.8 problem disappears.
- NOTE * I have a simetric 1Gbps up/down fiber internet connection *
Hope this will help in your improvements, My best regards, Peter.
P.S. If you need any further testing or information, I will gladly help.
