No sound after toggling several times play / stop in 3.0.10

Hello, since today's update (3.0.10), the sound disapears after a few times I hit play / stop (space bar) when reading a video (.avi). Even after resetting the preferences, the bug is still there. The only way I have found to get the sound back is to close and re-open VLC. (MacOS 10.13.6)
