VLC 3.0.8 - umlaut in SoundFont file path

Preferences (All) > Input/Codecs > Audio codecs > AUMIDI > Browse ...

Select a SoundFont file. Resulting path: /Users/username/Documents/Temporär/Musik/FluidR3_GM.sf2

Save and quit VLC. Now open it again and go to AUMIDI preferences.

Path is now: /Users/username/Documents/TemporaÃàr/Musik/

The previously selected SoundFont file isn't used when playing back midi files. VLC only remembers the file if the path doesn't have an umlaut in it.
