VLC forcefully closes when switching from light to dark mode or vice-versa on mac

On my MacBook Pro, whenever I switch from dark to light mode (or vice-versa) while I'm playing a song in VLC, the app immediately closes. When I reopen the app, it opens up fine but doesn't show any error or anything to report the error. So, when I looked through the log file, it gave a huge message:

I am running the latest version of VLC for Mac (Version 3.0.8) and I'm running macOS Mojave (Version 10.14.6)
