Video cropping not working if changing preferences contain symbol "."

I was change video cropping: Advanced perferences - Video - Video cropping - "2.35:1". After this i restarting VLC. And Video cropping not working. If i was change video cropping: Advanced perferences - Video - Video cropping - "235:100". After this i restarting VLC. It's working!
