VLC freezes when playing corrupted file with loop enabled. Cannot be closed.

Hello.

The problem REALLY kills me. Whenever I start a video, which is corrupted or still rendering and VLC cannot play it, and also loop is enabled, it just hangs. It is a absolutely unresponsive. It also cannot be closed! This bug is known in forums. It was never fixed.

And disabling loop is not a solution, it is a bad workaround. There is not advantage in forcing a loop on a single opened file, if it is corrupted. Please finally fix it.

I already found exactly 1 ticket of this sort. It got closed as a duplicate. I cannot find a duplicate however. So please do not ignore it. This happens like 5-20 times a month for years! This is really annoying.
