Repeat One playback mode on empty WAV file can't be halted.

Launch VLC

Open Main window

Drag 10 WAV files into the playlist

File 5 shows Duration of --:-- initially, then 00:00

When Playback mode is set to Repeat One, if you start to play this file you get the Apple Beach Ball.

The next and stop buttons have no effect.

Mac OS Force Quit succeeds.

With Playback set to Next, and it skips the file and continues the queue as expected.

Reproducible. When I tried it on purpose, I noticed that I got the arrow pointer back briefly after the intial play, then the Beach Ball.
