"Jump x-Seconds"-Function not working when streaming a .ts-file
Hello,
I use VLC mostly for streaming .ts-files. When streaming I am not able to use the "Jump x-Seconds"-function in VLC.
When talking about "Jump"-function I mean those hotkeys for example:
Quick Forward and Backward
SHIFT + RIGHT ARROW : 3 seconds forward
SHIFT + LEFT ARROW : 3 seconds backward
ALT + RIGHT ARROW : 10 seconds forward
ALT + LEFT ARROW : 10 seconds backward
CTRL + RIGHT ARROW : 1 minute forward
CTRL + LEFT ARROW : 1 minute backward
I did also try to assign the Jump-function to a GUI-button, but that does not change anything and the problem is still there.
I start a stream by clicking on a M3U-File like this:
The stream starts and I press the hotkey to jump 10 seconds forward. As you see in the following screenshot, I pressed the hotkey at 00:07 and the player wants to jump to 00:15 as you see in the upper-right corner, but this does not work. The stream does stop shortly, but does not jump to 00:15.
When placing the file on the disk of my local computer and playing it from there by simply double-clicking the file, jumping works fine.
I think it is not relevant, but the .ts-files are recordings from a Linux-based Set-Top-Box. (Dreambox) I will try to attach a small example .ts-file on this ticket.
I hope you can replicate and fix the issue.
Thank you!
Additional information:
Client: Windows 10 1909 64-Bit (Problem was there in earlier Windows versions ...) VLC Media Player: Windows-Version 3.0.8 (also tried the latest nightly without success) Hardware: AMD X6, nVidia GTX550TI, ...
I did try it on a brand new virtual machine too and the problem is still there.
