Wmp plays wmv3 file only in fullscreen mode while streaming with VLC

i've got a problem with VLC , when i put wmv3 file in playlist, in windows media player that works only in fullscreen on Vista , same problem as here :

i have tryied to do that with VLC media player 0.9.0-svn Grishenko and VLC media player 0.8.6a Janus on debian etch but same trouble both (i don't want to force my user to play the stream in fullscreen mode ...) also in windows vista with the last update version , same problems .
