Feature request: composer ID field

I play a lot of classical music and jazz, and always use VLC. I'm up to date on 3.0.6. I would like to know the composer when I play a track or album. There are two places where this field could most usefully appear:

. tools | current media information (general or metadata)

. playlist | detailed list

In the latter view I can see a number of fields I might tick for display in a column, but not composer.

I can see two approaches:

. add this field, making specific changes to the code, but that requires specific changes every time someone like me suggest a new field

. make more generic changes possible for the user in the same way as Foobar and Mp3tag do: Allow a user-created column, attached to a user-defined field. I could name a column as Composer, and then attach the %composer% field to it.
