VLC for tvOS 3.03 (306) not saving SMB login credentials

Hi! Am running VLC for tvOS 3.03 (306) on an Apple TV 4K (1842 32GB) with tvOS 12.1.1 (16K45).

Under Local Network, my Windows 10 (ver. 1809) PC appears as an SMB device - which when selected prompts me for my login credentials.

I enter these, select Save, and they work fine (shared files showing) however the saved credentials do not persist and I have to enter them again each time.

If these did save that'd be fantastic - as it'd make using the tvOS app to access content on my main PC way more seamless. Many thanks!
