Open Network Stream - url with spaces doesn't open

Version: 3.0.4, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016 English

Log:

Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jirijanata/matroska-test-files/master/test_files/test 2.mkv'. Check the log for details.

How to reproduce:

Open VLC
Media - Open Network Stream... (Ctrl+N)
Paste this URL (URL with space) https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jirijanata/matroska-test-files/master/test_files/test 2.mkv

Problem description VLC can't open URL with space. Also doesn't help to put URL to quotes. The only workaround is to replace all spaces with %20.

This works: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jirijanata/matroska-test-files/master/test_files/test%202.mkv
