Audio passthrough not working on Android

Hi,

I'm using the following device:

Sony KD-55XD7005\ Android version 7.0\ Security Update: 2018. Aug 1.\ Kernel version: 3.10.79\ Build: BRAVIA_ATV2_EUver7.0 NRP91N.S139 1.6.0.56.2.9.1.00\

with VLC player version 3.0.13, and looks like the audio passthrough is not working properly. The input always gets downsampled to LPCM.

In VLC the passthrough is enabled, default output module is set to AudioTrack.
