Window title flickering rapidly causing system crash

I think I found a bug in VLC when I use it to play BlueRay DVD's. If I insert a BR DVD and window opens it asks if I want to click on "open VLC", if it is a normal DVD it starts to play, if it is a BR DVD, VLC opens but I get a rapid flickering of the window title bar and it crashes the whole system, because it defaults to a normal DVD. If I open VLC and select BR DVD it starts to play. I assume it should show some type of error message??
