When connected with Bluetooth device the audio won’t play if u switch between the app for few mins (iOS)

After the VLC update, the audio has stopped working when u switch between apps or when u pause ur video and screen lock ur phone. I’m using Bluetooth earphones and I having trouble listening to audio when I switch between VLC and other apps. To make the audio work I have to cancel the video and play back again and sometimes it doesn’t work then I have to restart the app.
