Save location setting not working on Windows XP with VLC Media Player 3.0

When trying to save a file using the save/convert dialogue on VLC Media Player 3.0.3 under Windows XP SP3, it is impossible to set a location using the browse button, or type a file name into the name field. Reverting back to version 2.2.8 it all works fine. I do realise that Windows XP support is being depreciated, but surely this basic function should still work!
