Regression: Cannot Play UNFINISHED archive files

Just installed 3.0.2.

For years, when copying a rar video archive, it has been possible to drag the first part of the rar set into the VLC player and play as much of the video as is available, even if only a few seconds.

That no longer will work. A complete rar set can be played that way, but not a partially complete one.

I went back to 3.0.1 and it has the same trouble. Had to downgrade to 2.2.8 to restore this function.

Please fix this. LOVE THE PROGRAM. Thanks!
