Marquee module no longer preserves spaces

Window 7 Pro SP1 64-bit VLC 3.0.2 64-bit Intel Core i7 940 @ 2.93 GHz NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB

  1. Go to All Settings, Video, Subtitles/OSD.
  2. Enable sub-pictures.
  3. Enable the Marquee subpictures source module.
  4. Go to the Marquee display settings.
  5. In the Marquee text field, enter "Spaces          between".
  6. Play a video. The displayed overlay will be "Spaces between" with ten spaces condensed to one.

Behavior was to preserve spaces as late as Version 2.2.8.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
