add new playlistview: Queue view

I was sitting at a bar a few months ago, finished talking to someone, and was now finishing my drink before going home. Looking around I noticed the screen behind the bar on which the playlist was shown. I'm not sure which software they were using, but it was not VLC.

So I wondered. Why is it not VLC? Were they just to lazy to give VLC a try? Does it have to do with licensing the music? Or do they like this software better? What is standing in our way to achieve World Domination #35?

I gave it some thought and came up with atleast the following missing feature:

At a bar, you play music a lot. So you are bound to go over the same songs a few times a week. To prevent that from getting boring, wise men decided to introduce playlist randomization. And VLC has that.

But what VLC does not do, is show which item is coming up next, and which one after that. In other words, we can see the playlist, when we turn on randomization, there is no way to see in which order the items will play, and thus no easy way of making adjustments if something seems inappropriate at this hour.

I introduce: Queue viewmode. In which items ar sorted in the order in which they will be played. Additionally, this viewmode can by default show different details of the track; (trackname, duration, album, artist, cover).

The point of this viewmode is to offer a default mode which has all the basics a DJ might need turned on by default.

If anyone reading this ticket knows of other missing details which would fit in this viewmode please leave a response.
