Interactive Zoom White Box Doesn't work with Portrait Videos

The interactive zoom white box doesn't work with portrait videos like it does with normal videos that are in landscape. The white box that allows you to move the zoom field in the video is frozen in place in the top right corner of the picture-in-picture screen. It cannot be moved. Also the zoom graph doesn't work. I have tried in version 2.2 and also in the latest version 3.0.1 the functionality is the same.

This only happens with portrait videos. It works fine with landscape videos.
