Chromecast won't display interlaced sources correctly

I have no problem to play a mkv file or other typical video format on VLC 3.0.0 on Mac (macOS 10.13.3).

However I can't make TV streams or TV recorded streams from French ISP box Freebox Revolution display correctly : only the upper part of the image shows correctly then it just slides down from there. Sound is choppy.

recorded m2ts stream is not played at all on Chromecast with SodaPlayer on the same Mac, I could not tested how it could handle the livestream
