Bookmarks are discarded

Whenever I create a bookmark and restart VLC, the bookmark is gone.

Please let me know what info do you need from me in order to figure this out.

macOS 10.13.2 (17C88) VLC 2.2.6 Umbrella (Intel 64bit)
